New York State Digital Equity Plan

New York State Digital Equity Plan

NYS Digital Equity Plan

The federal Bipartisan Infrastructure Law includes $1.5 billion for State Digital Equity Planning and Capacity Building nationwide. ConnectALL received $2.2 million to engage in extensive, statewide outreach and develop its State Digital Equity Plan. The Plan establishes a vision and comprehensive framework to guide digital equity strategy and will anchor all of ConnectALL’s programs.

ConnectALL partnered with digital equity practitioners, advocates, coalitions, and NYS agencies serving marginalized populations to develop the State Digital Equity Plan. These partners hosted listening sessions in all 10 regions of the state, focus groups, and town hall meetings. Over 5,000 also New Yorkers contributed to the Plan by taking the New York Internet Access Survey. Learn more about CAO’s outreach and engagement efforts here.

The Draft State Digital Equity Plan is available for public comment until December 6, 2023 at 5PM ET. To submit public comment on the Plan, use the form linked below. ConnectALL will consider all comments to include in the final State Digital Equity Plan that is submitted to NTIA.
